All classes require registration, Center membership is required: must show current membership card at registration. Please feel free to come and observe any class. Refunds for missed classes must be requested from the instructor.

Drawing Buildings & Rooms

Wednesdays:  8/6, 8/13, 8/20, 8/27

2:00 to 3:30 pm (90 min,)

Suitable for beginners.

Learn to draw rooms, houses, barns and buildings from ONE and TWO point perspectives.

Bird House Gourds

Tuesday, July 8th, 1-4

Join artist Tim Sauter to make 2 beautiful birdhouses out of gourds.  Instruction and materials provided. Cost: $50. per person.  Please sign up in advance at the front desk.

Writers Group

First Wednesday of the month, 10am - noon

Great news!  The Writers Group will continue to meet once a month through the summer.  Beginners are welcome.  Attend all sessions or come as often as you can.  Please bring a non-fiction or fiction piece that you have been working on to share and receive thoughtful feed back along with copies to provide to the other participants.  Drop in and give it a try - you might be amazed at what you discover!  Upcoming Dates:  7/2, 8/6

Decorating Bottles

Thursday, July 24 at 1:30 pm

Join us for a fun class decorating glass bottles.  We will embellish the outside and add some fun string lights for the inside.  Cost: $10.  All materials provided.  Please sign up in advance at the front desk.

English Country Dancing

The primary goal of English country dancing has always been to have fun.  A simple walking step will get you  through most dances.  No experience or partner needed.

Cornhole\Bocce

Tuesdays, 10 am

Bocce and Cornhole will be played outside on Tuesday mornings.  Please sign up at the front desk if you are interested and would like to receive updates.

Music Jam

2nd Thursday of Month, 1:30 pm

Feel free to join in whether you play an instrument or just want to listen.  If you enjoy acoustic msic stop by the jam session! Looking for volunteers to set up ahead of time.  Please come at 12:30 if you can help.  Next dates:  7/10, 8/14, 9/11.

Knitting 

Tuesdays, 1:30 pm

Join us anytime! If you are a knitter or crocheter, stop by to meet some new friends.  Great chance to visit while working on your own projet. Want to learn either? We will help you get started.  If there is enough interest, we may even have a learn to knit class.

Building Wooden Models

Tuesdays, 10:30 am

Building scale models anywhere from a few inches to almost four feet long.  I display mine in glass cases, but they can be displayed on a mantle piece, or anywhere you would like a beautiful decoration.  Anyone interested feel free to call or text

Card Playing

Mondays, 12:30 pm

We play bridge, pinochle, canasta, hand-and-foot card games and more. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends. Generally, foursomes are established and seldom have openings for drop-in players. If interested, stop by the front desk and add your name to the list of new interested players, indicating the game(s) of your interest. Then follow up with people on the list to establish new groups of play.

Duplicate Bridge

Oil, Acrylic & Art

Fridays, 10 am - 1 pm

Certified by the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the instructor, Dani Morette provides her expertise as she guides you through your current piece of art. Whether a beginner or an experienced painter, you can learn new techniques or brush up on what your already know. Bring your own supplies for your intended new creation. Paint whatever you desire. Anyone interested may join us.  Beginners are welcome.  We have gameboards or you can bring your own.

Cribbage

Please join us in the library for fun, laughter and cards.  If you don't know the game, we will teach you.

Pinochle

We are a group of friendly, mentoring quilters who share threads of wisdom and create works of art. Everyone is welcome. There is no fee.

Pickleball

Senior Center Photographers

2nd and 4th Thursdays, 10 am
